Description

This is a general studies course designed for individuals who will work in careers that bring them into contact with the general public, six percent of whom have communication differences. The course teaches students how to recognize communication differences such as speech problems, language disorders, disfluency, voice disorders, and hearing loss. It will also help students understand how it feels to have such differences and how to interactive effectively with persons with communication differences. updated 11/27/01
