1. Voice is an overlay function of the larynx. Biological basis for larynx is to:

2. Vocal folds have to adduct, or come together, to produce voice

3. Must build up air pressure in lungs to force vocal folds apart and start them vibrating.

4. Producing voiced and unvoiced sounds requires good coordination of the vocal folds. (Massachusetts/Mazzajuzettz, cookie-cutter, goggie-gudder)
