F. Treatment protocol

  1. Speech-language pathologist (SLP) persents a model for client to imitate. May present cues using other senses, visual, touch, kinesthetic.
  2. Client responds.
  3. SLP judges qualilty of response and gives client feedback. Feedback includes suggestions for improving production of sound.
  4. Later, pictures and objects are used to elicit responses and the stimuli change from very simple to more complex.
