DRUGS AND SOCIETY

(CRIM 5650/7650)

Drugs and Society focuses on the issue of drug use from a distinctly sociological perspective. Topics addressed in this course include: drug taxonomies; the social context of drug use, including drug subcultures, the economy of drug use and drugs and crime; societal reaction to drug use, including drug education, drug testing, drug treatment and drug policy.
