The "Stop Year-Round School Citizens' Group" is a grass roots effort by concerned parents of our community to insure that the Auburn City Schools provide a serious forum for citizen participation before any decision to implement any changes in the school calendar takes place. Most parents participating in this group tend to feel that there is not sufficient educational advantage in any form of "Year-Round School" to warrant a change from the Traditional school year calander. However, our main concern is that anything done in regard to this issue be a community consensus decision based on an understanding of all sides of the issue. This web site provides links to information relating directly to our community, the concept of "Year Round School", and the issues surrounding this concept.
