Tips for writing letters to the
Editor

TIPS for effective letters to the Editor:

1. First, inform yourself about the facts and issues concerning Year-Round School by reading the information at this site and at other sites (both pro and con).

2. Keep your letter relatively short, two paragraphs is a good length to aim for.

3. Try to keep things "simple".

4. Use lists where appropriate.

PLEASE try to keep letters short - the editors are receiving too many long letters, taking up too much space. It is better for us to have two short letters than one long one in the paper.
