Note about Visa

Finally, visitors from North America (Canada, Mexico and US) who are not citizens of the EU or Mercosur are required visas to enter Brazil.  Since the procedures depend a lot on the location of the consulate we recommend that participants who will need visas to contact their closest Brazilian consulate. Deadline for submission of Abstract:

The new deadline for abstract submission will be January 31st, 2008.
Please make sure submit the abstracts by the deadline and that a copy .tex file of the abstract is sent to the e-mail amssbm@impa.br with the title, author name and special session name. Please use ask the participant to use the subject ABSTRACT SPECIAL SESSION.

Hotel Reservation for Special Session

There are several recommended hotels in Rio, we have chosen the Hotel Debret located at Av. Atlantica 3564 – Copacabana, just a few yards from Copacabana beach. Also the cost is very reasonable with just about 20 minutes ride to IMPA where the conference will take place.
