I am Caroline R. Dean and I encourage you to enjoy my interest in wildflowers. Few states have the diversity and variety of wildflowers as are found in Alabama. Look for them in the woods, along roadsides, and in your own yard. This website has been created to share their beauty, and to promote the knowledge, appreciation, and use of native plants.

Media Release May 13, 2008  2008 National Wetlands Award Caroline Dean received the National Wetlands Award in Education and Outreach at a special awards ceremony on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. This award program is sponsored jointly by the Environmental Law Institute, the US Army COE, US EPA, USDA Forest Service, USDA NRCS, NOAA Fisheries , USDOT FHA  and US FWS.
