Community Resource Development

Since the inception of the Extension Service nation wide in 1914, Community Resource Development has been a major area of work in addition to Agriculture, 4-H Youth, and Home Economics. Many communities are better off today because Extension agents assisted community leaders and volunteers in solving local problems which improve a quality of life. Projects I have been involved with over the years in Lee County Alabama include Lee County Leadership, the Auburn-Opelika Convention and Vistors Bureau, Smiths Sewage Problems, Landscape Designs for community beautification, tourism attractions, joint projects with the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce, and many others.
