Technology in the Composition Classroom

A Study by Elizabeth Cater Childs and Jill Parrott

ENGL7050:  Computers and Composition

Dr. Michelle Sidler, Spring 2005

Introduction

“Technology in the Composition Classroom” is a study of four composition classrooms and their responses/reactions to a technology-enhanced oral presentation assignment in which they were required to use visual rhetoric.  The study serves as the final project for ENGL7050:  Computers and Composition taught by Michelle A. Sidler, Assistant Professor of English at Auburn University.

The purpose of this site is to present the results of this study and to provide materials, resources, and ideas for other composition teachers who are interested in incorporating this type of assignment into their composition classrooms.
