PREREQ:                  STAT 7600 is a calculus based course. You will be expected to have a mastery of calculus (at least 1-year of

undergraduate calculus and an undergraduate mathematical statistics course like STAT 3600). You will have to be very familiar with differentiation, integration, sequences and series.

TEXT:                        Statistical Inference, 2nd Edition, Casella and Berger.

 

COVERAGE:           All or parts of Chapters 1-6 of the above listed text.   .

 

SOFTWARE:            Some statistical simulations for demonstration of theory will be done in SAS, R and Maple.
