Greetings from sunny Lithuania! It has been another amazingly beautiful week here in Klaipeda. It has been sunny every day with a thunderstorm Friday afternoon. The leaves are appearing on the trees and everything gives the impression that Spring has been bypassed in favor of Summer. And I don't mind a bit. Things are wrapping up here. I'm done teaching, hooray, hooray! Now I just have 35 CIS 120 spreadsheets to grade, 35 CIS 120 finals (which they will take Monday night), 24 CIS 240 final projects (PowerPoint presentations and webpages), and 75 Institute spreadsheets. It will be a busy week. I hope to have it all graded by Wednesday night. The Institute stuff will have to be done by Thursday morning, the rest could wait until next Monday, but I would like to get it all behind me as quickly as possible so I can enjoy this wonderful weather. Friday afternoon was the closing assembly. We had heard from representatives of each class, and the exchange students. The faculty and staff leaving were also introduced, and given flowers. I received a gerber, or something like that. It's a big pretty flower. It will be sad to leave here. There's so much I wanted to get done, but just ran out of time. The students have been wonderful, for the most part. I've enjoyed the challenge of teaching, even though it's not my strength. I thank God that He brought me through it all, all the ups and downs, to this final week in Lithuania. And thank you for praying for me, and raising my spirits with your email. I'm already packing stuff. I've packed away all the gifts, including a bunch of stuff I picked up this week. Half of the sweaters are put away, too. I might be able to get everything in this time myself, which is a good thing, since my heroic luggage packing friends are a long ways away. It's hard to believe that I'm 10 days from leaving. I look forward to seeing all of you soon. Take care. In Christ, David
