Research Interests:
One of my major interests is in determining the factors that cause and maintain micro-geographic patterning within natural populations. The current emphasis of our current research is directed towards understanding the role that spatial substructure plays in maintaining genetic variation within isolated gene pools. The primary animal models being investigated in my laboratory are endangered populations of beach mice, Peromyscus polionotus and the mosquitofish, Gambusia sp.
