Research in the lab is centered on the theme of gaining a greater
understanding of plant development.
Our specific focus is on how a set of transcription factors
regulated by the plant hormone cytokinin, known as CRFs are involved
in controlling the various aspects of plant development and in
abiotic stress response.
Research in the lab is conducted using molecular, genetic, and
physiological approaches to study developmental processes and
abiotic stress responses in
both the model
system Arabidopsis and the crop plant Tomato.
