The Undergraduate Symposium provides a venue for Auburn undergraduate students to present research and creative projects to the broader academic community. Undergraduates from all disciplines are invited to present their current and recent academic work, showcasing the diversity of topics, approaches, and interests at Auburn University and reflecting its spirit of excellence. The Undergraduate Symposium will be held as part of Research Week 2013. |

How to participate |
|||||
All undergraduate students enrolled at Auburn University (Main Campus or Montgomery Campus) are invited attend the Undergraduate Research Symposium. Undergraduate students wishing to make oral or poster presentations must submit an abstract of their research in addition to their online registration. Undergraduate students who are not presenting research but wish to attend must register for research week. Abstracts may be submitted at the time of registration, or you have the option of uploading your abstract to the registration site by the registration deadline. All undergraduates must register and/or submit abstracts by 11:59 p.m. CST on February 15, 2013. |

Only 2000 characters are allowed. The abstract should include a description of research goals, pivotal techniques employed, results, and discussion and implications of the findings. |

Award Criteria |
|||||
Students who present their research or creative scholarship at the Undergraduate Symposium will be eligible for presentation awards according to the following categories:
Oral presentations will be judged on quality of content, conclusions, visual material (if appropriate), presentation style, and responses to questions and comments. Poster presentations will be judged on quality of content, conclusions, visual material (if appropriate), presentation, originality, and significance to discipline (merit).
