Call for Editors

The Auburn University Journal of Undergraduate Scholarship (AUJUS) is now accepting applications for Student Associate Editors.

AUJUS is a peer-reviewed journal that showcases the research and scholarly accomplishments of Auburn University undergraduate students. We publish original research from students in any academic discipline.

The responsibilities of the Student Associate Editors include (1) locating qualified reviewers to evaluate submitted articles, (2) editing articles to ensure consistency and clarity throughout the text, and (3) serving as an intermediary between the student authors and the student team that designs and produces the journal. Student editors also assist with soliciting future articles, editors and sponsors. For more details, please download the pdf description.

Serving as a Student Associate Editor for AUJUS will provide you with a unique perspective of the process of professional review and journal production. With your help, AUJUS can continue to positively impact the academic climate of Auburn’s growing undergraduate student body engaged in research.

How to Apply:

Submit (1) a cover letter summarizing how your background prepares you for an Associate Editor position and why you would like to join the editorial staff; (2) a current C.V. with the names of two references; and (3) a recent transcript (unofficial is okay) in one email attachment to undgres@auburn.edu . The deadline for applications is April 21, 2014. Questions may be directed to Dr. Lorraine Wolf, Director of Undergraduate Research, undgres@auburn.edu .
