How do I join SWE? You can join SWE at Auburn by simply joining the Society-level SWE Organization. You can apply for membership online and pay with your credit card, then bring a printed receipt to the meeting to let our secretary (Erika Akins) know that you are a new member. You may also apply through the Auburn Section by bringing a check (made out to SWE) and a completed membership form to one of the meetings. Membership dues are $20 for each year of membership. The membership year begins on July 1st. You can renew your yearly membership through The Society by signing in.
How do I get SWE updates by e-mail? To join the [SWEmass] mailing list, you may subscribe yourself by visiting the SWE Information Page or you may send an e-mail to the mailing list administrator (Heather Sawyer) with “Subscribe to SWEmass” in the subject line and your email address in the body. SWE updates are a great way to stay in the know about upcoming events and opportunities. Also, as a member, you are automatically added to the [SWE] mailing list of our section for emails exclusive to members. To unsubscribe from our mailing list, email the webmaster with “Remove” in the subject line and your email address in the body. Also, specify which list you would like to be removed from if not both. Another way to stay in touch and receive updates about events and opportunities is to join our AU Section’s SWE Facebook Group. This is a great way to put faces with names and create a more social environment among members. |
