Conferences
National and Regional Conferences are a great place to get excited about the SWE and interact with other members from around the nation (or region). Networking is made easy through job fairs and various other activities and workshops involving collegiate and professional SWE members. Conferences are open to non-members but conference registration fees for members cost less. Registration fees include most meals, workshops, a job fair, and other fun activities. Conferences are held in a variety of locations around the nation including Puerto Rico (which is part of Region D). Past and upcoming conferences that apply to our Section can be found on the Conferences page.

Scholarships
SWE Scholarships are open only to women pursuing baccalaureate or graduate degrees in engineering and computer science. The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to ABET-accredited colleges or universities, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Grants are announced in the late spring (sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students) and late summer/early fall (freshmen and reentry students) for use during the following academic year. Scholarships are awarded through SWE professional sections, SWE collegiate sections, and The Society. Application forms can be obtained through the Deans of Engineering at eligible schools. Scholarships awarded through Auburn University are made possible through donations made by Chevron. The current Chevron Scholarship applications have already been awarded for this year. Please check back for next year’s deadlines and updated applications. Chevron Scholarship Application
