Stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is an organization for women in all fields of engineering. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in their engineering aspirations and motivates them to become successful students and leaders.

The collegiate section here at Auburn University offers members the opportunity to apply for scholarships, attend conferences, improve resumes, gain exposure to company representatives looking to offer students jobs and internships, and to serve others. In the past, we have raised money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, participated in the Beat Bama Food Drive to restock the East Alabama Food Bank, and participated in Auburn University’s Big Event to give back to our community. Also, we plan on visiting local elementary and middle schools to tell young girls about engineering.

During the semester, SWE will host many events such as meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, workshops, philanthropy events, t-shirt designing, socials and much more.

At our meetings, take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy free food, apply for membership, win door prizes, order/purchase a SWE t-shirt, and gain valuable information from our speakers.
