Our Officers

President: Dan McClain

Dan McClain - ASVA President

Dan is a five year veteran of the Army and has deployed once in support of OEF. He is presently a member of the Alabama National Guard and the Auburn Army ROTC program. Currently he is a junior pursuing his undergraduate degree in Computer Science. Once Dan leaves Auburn he aspires to work for the Department of Defense in the information assurance field.

Vice President: Ryan Laube

Ryan Laube - ASVA Vice President

Ryan served in the Air Force for eight years before attending Auburn University. He deployed twice in support of both OIF and OEF. Ryan is senior studying Electrical Engineering. Upon completion of his degree Ryan is looking to work in radio frequency communications.

Treasurer: Brian Smith

Brian Smith - ASVA Treasurer

Brain served in the Marine Corp as a forward observer. He is now working towards a degree in Economics. Once he finishes his degree at Auburn he intends to work towards his doctorate in economics.

Coordinator of Events: David Shamp

David Shamp - ASVA Coordinator of Events

David is a three year Army veteran who has deployed once in support of OIF. He is a junior working towards his degree in History. Once he leaves Auburn, David plans to attend graduate school and eventually teach.

Historian: David Washington

David Washington - ASVA Historian

David is a veteran of the United States Army. He is currently serving in the Army Reserves and working towards his undergraduated in Information Systems Management.

Announcements

VETERANS LUNCHEON

The ASVA will be hosting the annual veterans luncheon on the 13th of November at 12:00 on the 3rd floor of the Student Center. Doors will open at 11:30 AM. Michael Dakduk, Executive Director of the National Student Veterans Association, will be speaking.

NEW VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER TO OPEN IN FOY

Following the luncheon, the new AU Veterans Resource Center ribbon cutting ceremony will be held in Foy. The new center will serve as a single location for all veterans resources to include G.I. Bill certification, academic support, and career counseling.
