Tiger Paws
Auburn University Dance Team

Overview
The Tiger Paws have an All-American collegiate look that represents Auburn University with “Southern Hospitality”.  There are 16 members on the team. They cheer and dance on the sidelines at all home Auburn football games, perform at SGA pep rallies, perform at all men’s and women’s home basketball games, and perform at select Auburn volleyball and soccer games each year.   The majority of the routines the Tiger Paws perform are hip hop and jazz. Tiger Paws also participate in various community activities in and around the Auburn/Opelika area, such as visits to elementary schools and retirement centers.

Practices
The Tiger Paws practice two to two and half hours four days a week plus two gym training session each week during the fall and spring semesters. Additional practices are held during the summer and may be held during the holiday breaks when classes are not in session.  Members of the Tiger Paws can be involved in organizations on Auburn’s campus, as long as they realize the time commitment involved with being a Tiger Paw.

Scholarships
The Tiger Paws do not receive scholarships.  The 2009-2010 team received a book stipend of $350.00 for the fall semester and $350.00 for the spring semester, for a total of $700.00 for the year.
