Do the Tiger Paws receive scholarships?  The Tiger Paws do not receive scholarships.  The 2007-2008 team received a book stipend of $350 for Fall Semester and $350 for Spring Semester, for a total of $700 for the year.

How much dance experience do I need in order to audition for the Tiger Paws?  While previous dance experience is not required in order to audition for the Tiger Paws Dance Team, most members of the team have taken dance lessons since they were 3 years old.  The members of the current team have taken ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and modern dance lessons.  The majority of the routines the Tiger Paws perform are hip hop and jazz so special emphasis during auditions are placed on those areas.  See the "Tryouts section" for additional information on auditions. 

Is there time to get involved on campus in other extracurricular activities if I'm selected as a Tiger Paws?  Members of the Tiger Paws can be involved in other organizations on Auburn's campus, as long as they realize the time commitment involved with being a Tiger Paw. 

How many team members are there?  There are 16 members on the 2007-2008 Tiger Paws Dance Team.

What athletic events do the Tiger Paws participate in?  The Auburn Tiger Paws cheer on the sidelines at all home Auburn Football games, perform at all home Men's and Women's Basketball games and perform at select Auburn Volleyball and Soccer games each year.  In addition to athletic events, the Tiger Paws appear at other events on Auburn's campus such as pep rallies and Hey Day. Also, they participate in various community activities around the Auburn/Opelika area, such as visits to elementary schools and retirement homes.

How often do the Tiger Paws practice?  The Tiger Paws practice two to two and half hours Monday-Thursdays of each week during Fall and Spring Semesters.  Additional practices are held during the Summer and may be held during holiday breaks when classes are not in session. 

Do the Tiger Paws compete?  The Tiger Paws compete at Universal Dance Association (UDA) summer camp and nationals in Orlando, FL.
