Welcome to the Auburn University Swing Dance Association

The Auburn University Swing Dance Association is a chartered student organization at Auburn University, in Auburn, Alabama. We have FREE Friday night dance classes and practice during the semester (see calendar for details), from 7-9 pm, at the Jan Dempsey Arts Center, big Performance Room (Jan Dempsey is behind the Frank Brown Recreation Center, on Opelika Road, near the Post Office). We teach Swing ( single-step,triple-step,Charleston,Lindy). We teach a beginner basics every week; you can start dancing any time; no partner needed; no experience required!

Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a student to attend classes or dances. In order to join you must be a student. The benefits of joining include voting on the bylaws, constitution and officers.

We also have an extra swing dance night, on Wednesdays, that we're now calling "Lindy Wednesday" (this is also FREE). We'll teach a beginner lesson in Lindy Hop every night. Mostly this will be to practice, learn and improve on Lindy. These are also in Jan Dempsey Arts Center, in the large classroom, 7- 9pm.
