Auburn University Swing Dance Association (AUSDA) is a chartered student non-profit organization at Auburn University. All our officers and instructors work on a volunteer basis, except for special requested lessons.
Our main dance is on Friday nights during school semesters. Both the lesson and the dance are free and typically run from 7-9 PM. The first hour is a lesson and the second hour a dance. A beginner lesson is offered, so any time is a good time to start! The intermediate lesson is at the same time and varies between different styles of dance. These styles include 6 or 8-count swing, Charleston, or a line dance (i.e. Shim Sham, Big Apple, or Tranky Doo).
Please join our email list (on the right side of the page) to receive weekly reminders of where and when our events are happening! Most of our meetings are held at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, but we meet elsewhere when it is not available for us.
All ages are welcome to our events, but the environment is better suited for college, high school and older. Only Auburn University students can become voting members. Members are able to vote on the officers, bylaws, and the constitution.

Constitution and bylaws
We meet almost every Friday night during the semester, from 7-9 pm, at the Jan Dempsey Arts Center, in the Performance Room. Occasionally our meetings are moved or canceled, due to Jan Dempsey needing the room for other purposes, another dance event happening elsewhere, or a holiday.
