PCC: Tuesday the 9th President Jay Gogue signed the President's Climate Commitment (PCC). Lobbying: We want to start lobbying for initiatives, especially on campus. Some ideas are more bike racks on campus, solar power in Alabama, etc. We want to join with EAO and other organizations to get more awareness for these causes... Officers: We are accepting officer applications until next Thursday, the 18th. If you are interested please send your resume and what offices you are interested in to me, branyba@auburn.edu. Please make the subject "Officer Position" or something similar. The positions: CO-CHAIR - will serve as the official spokesperson, representative and ambassador of ASAP. They will be equally responsible for all co-chair responsibilities. They will preside over meetings and committees to accomplish the goals of ASAP. RECORDER - will be in charge of taking minutes and attendance at all meetings and events and participation in other activities. He or she will be in charge of sending out the minutes to the advisor and the members within 48 hours of each meeting. FINANCIAL COORDINATOR - will be in charge of fundraising, applying for funding from the Student Government, and for overseeing the appropriate spending of funds, if awarded. He or she shall keep all accounts, deposit all of the organizations's funds, make expenditures, and will also hold co-signing power with the co-chair for the bank account. EVENTS COORDINATOR - will be in charge of scheduling events such as speakers, films, education campaigns, action campaigns, and public outreach. He or she will work with the Publicity Coordinator to encourage member participation in events and to oversee organization of events. MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR - will be in charge of recruiting members, keeping a record of members' names and contact information, and assisting the Events Coordinator with public outreach. PUBLICITY COORDINATOR - will be in charge of all signs, brochures and posters advertising ASAP and the events and meetings held by the organization. He or she will work with the Events Coordinator to encourage member participation in events and to oversee organization of events. WEBMASTER - will be in charge of keeping the website up to date with events information, meeting times, contact information, and general information about sustainability. Nathan also brought up the idea of a committee on energy, and as he sends me information on this I will send it out. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23rd at 5pm. This is a social meeting, so if you have any ideas of where we can meet let me know!
