How
can I become a Student Recruiter?
Applications will become available during the Spring semester around January or February. Announcements and publicity will go out advertising Student Recruiter Information Sessions and Interviews. Look for posters around campus as well as information on the Auburn website and in your Campus Connection. You can sign up for an interview slot in the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment in The Quad Center.
When are
Student Recruiter interviews?
There are two interview cuts. You
will get an interview time when you sign up in The Quad Center after turning
in your application.
What is the
dress for each interview?
The first interview is business
casual. The second interview is business professional (suit and tie, guys!).
What will
I do if I become a Student Recruiter?
• If you become a student
recruiter, you will work in the office 3-3.5 hours per week.
• Give campus tours for
AU prospective students and their families (during the week and one home football
Saturday in the fall)
• Assist the Office of
Undergraduate Recruiting staff in traveling to college fairs in Alabama and the
southeastern region
• Communicate with prospective
students by writing letters, postacrds, and e-mails
• Assist with War Eagle
Days (7 each semester) and TALONS Days
• Have the honor of being
a part of the incredible group of AU students who recruit the future students
of AU

How many
hours a week must I work in the Recruiter Office?
Usually, 3-3.5 hours per week. These
hours are required and must be scheduled around your class. Each semester,
your hours will change days and times.
How many
Recruiters are accepted each year?
The organization consists of 60 total including four returning recruiters that make up the executive positions. Approximately 150 students tried out for the 2007-2008 year.
Where is
the Student Recruiter Office?
The Quad Center.
I plan
on being here in the summer. Is there summer work available?
Yes! You can
work in the Recruiter office and be paid.
