The design team for the new Recreation and Wellness Center was selected by Auburn University through a thorough evaluation process, which included multiple days of interviews and charrettes with several highly qualified firms from across the nation. Based on their credentials and proposed vision for this project, 360 Architecture and Infinity Architecture were selected to design this new facility.
360 Architecture, based in Kansas City, Missouri, is recognized nationally as one of the leaders in sports and recreational design and will serve as the architect-of-record for the project. They are consistently rated among the best in the industry for creative solutions to challenging site, operational, budget, schedule and revenue-generation issues. Their experienced staff is fully equipped to lead a large scale project from inception through occupancy. Furthermore, 360 is familiar with the Auburn family, having served as the lead architect on the new Auburn Arena, which is currently under construction.
Infinity Architecture, based in Montgomery, Alabama, will join 360 as the design team for the project. Infinity has designed numerous facilities on the Auburn University campus and has developed an excellent understanding of the university’s goals and standards. Some of their previous projects include the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences building and the McWhorter Women’s Athletics Center. Infinity consistently demonstrates their ability to develop state-of-the-art designs and will continue to expand and fulfill their excellent reputation on this project as well.
Robins & Morton, based in Birmingham, Alabama will serve as the Program/Construction Manager for the project. As one of the top construction firms in the country, Robins & Morton enjoys an exceptional customer satisfaction rating because they treat the Owner’s needs and goals as their first priority. Since 1946, Robins & Morton has been committed to providing clients with quality construction with experienced people, systematic planning and proven performance. Robins & Morton also has extensive experience at Auburn, including projects such as the Science Laboratory Center, the Medical Clinic, Jordan-Hare Stadium Renovations and the new Auburn Arena.
The Auburn University SGA, Campus Recreation staff, students and faculty/staff will also serve as a vital member of the project development team. Through your involvement, recommendations and input, we will all work together and strive to provide the Auburn family with the nation’s leading Recreation and Wellness facility.
