Getting to Camp War Eagle

Directions from US 280:

Traveling east on US 280, turn right on Alabama Highway 147 (College Street). Travel approximately five miles into Auburn. At Toomer’s Corner (intersection of College and Magnolia Avenue in downtown Auburn), turn right onto Magnolia Avenue. Go approximately a mile, crossing over Donahue Drive at a stop light. Turn right at the next red light onto Thach Avenue. The parking lot will be straight ahead.

Directions from I-85:

From I-85 (north or south) take Exit 51 into Auburn and go approximately five miles. When you near campus, turn left onto Samford Avenue. Continue on Samford about a mile and a half, crossing over Mell Street, Duncan Drive, Donahue Drive, and Wire Road. Just after crossing over Wire Road at the stop light, take a right onto Hemlock. At the first stop sign, turn left onto Thach Avenue. The parking lot will be straight ahead.

When you arrive at CWE:

The above directions and map direct you to the CWE Student Parking area.  This is where students will park for the remainder of their CWE session.  If students are being dropped off by their parents, they should be dropped off in this lot.  Parents attending the Parent Program of CWE will drop their child off in this parking lot and will then be directed to a separate parking area for parents.  Shuttle service will provided for the students and the parents from their respective parking lots to their check-in locations.  Staff will be present in both parking areas to assist with the check-in process.

By Plane

There are four commercial airports within two hours of Auburn.  The most frequently used is the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is an approximate 1hr 45min drive to/from Auburn.  Airports in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Columbus are also within reasonable distance.  Express 85, Inc. offers daily shuttle service to/from Hartsfield-Jackson.  You may visit their website at www.express85.com or call them at (888)238-7738.  Please note if you are flying into Atlanta or Columbus that there is an hour time difference as Georgia is on Eastern Time and Alabama is on Central Time.
