Need-based Scholarships

Need-based scholarships are awarded by the Office of University Scholarships, the Office of Inclusion and Diversity, and each of Auburn University's 12 colleges and schools. These scholarships can be found in the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) by browsing "All" scholarships and filtering for "Financial Need" or "Federal Pell Grant Eligible." Students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on the deadline to receive consideration for all need-based scholarships for which they meet the criteria.

Awarded: Beginning in December
Amount: $1,500 for one year

Board of Trustees Scholarships are awarded among eligible Alabama residents who complete the scholarship application through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM). Incoming freshmen must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on December 1. Incoming transfer students and current Auburn students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on February 1.

*The FAFSA is the only form a student is required to complete to be considered for student assistance from any of the Title IV, HEA programs except for information needed to ensure the student’s eligibility for such assistance (e.g., information needed to complete verification or to demonstrate compliance with the student eligibility provisions of the HEA and the regulations). Additional information, if requested, will be listed on the student’s AU Access My Finances page after we receive the results of the FAFSA.
