Undergraduate Scholarships

Departmental Scholarships

Each of Auburn University's 12 colleges and schools awards scholarships separate from the scholarships awarded at the university level. In addition, various departments within each college or school may award scholarships. Students should contact the college or school and department in which they plan to major for Departmental Scholarship opportunities.

Overview

Criteria for Departmental Scholarships vary and may include but not be limited to academic major, geographic location, academic achievement, and financial need. Students accepted for admission must apply through the new Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) by March 1 to receive consideration for Departmental Scholarships. Transfer students and current Auburn students in Nursing or Pharmacy must apply through AUSOM by June 1 to receive consideration for Departmental Scholarships.

To receive maximum consideration for need-based scholarships, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available online beginning January 1. The FAFSA must be received by Auburn University by the financial aid priority deadline of March 1.

Departmental Scholarships are awarded in early April, and awards amounts vary. Additional information regarding Departmental Scholarships may be found on the websites for the respective academic departments.
