Board of Trustees Scholarships

In 2000, the Auburn University Board of Trustees established a scholarship to support Alabama residents in their pursuit of higher education. Since that time, almost $12 million has been awarded to deserving undergraduate students from across the state in all majors on campus.

Awarded: Early April
Amount: $1,000 for one year

Board of Trustees Scholarships are awarded among eligible Alabama residents who apply through the new Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) by March 1.

  • Students must have a minimum 3.0 high school, transfer, or cumulative AU GPA, depending on current enrollment status.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need by March 1 through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Students must be an undergraduate student pursuing a first degree.
