RAD Courses for
Fall Semester 2008:
KINE 4970 Special Topics:
Self Defense for Women

Safe Harbor and Auburn University Department of Public Safety offer self-defense classes for women. The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. The RAD System is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on self-defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program.

Safety and survival in today's world requires a definite course of action. We provide effective options by teaching women to take an active role in their own self-defense and psychological well-being.

RAD classes are offered each semester for 1 hour of class credit - the course number is HLHP 4970. Additionally, we offer an evening class open to faculty, staff, students, and the Auburn community. For details, call 844-5123.
