IMPACT Alternative Spring Break Toomer's Coffee Fundraiser
ASB participants are also selling coffee roasted and packaged by the local coffee shop, Toomer's Coffee. Each bag is $12 with $5 coming back to the program. Both whole bean and ground coffee will be available. All bags are pre-ordered. Once students turn in an order, the packages are made to give you the freshest coffee possible. Dinner and a Movie
Bring your friends and join UPC for a Dinner and a Movie Double Feature:Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon on Tuesday, February 23. Twilight will be shown at 5:30 p.m., and The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be shown at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for Dinner and a Movie are now available in suite 3130 room 3149 (bring AU student ID). Hip Hop Dance Workshop
Join UPC and members of AU Rhythm for a Hip Hop Dance Workshop on Wednesday, February 24 at 7 p.m. in AUSC Room 2222/2223. Come and have fun with others, while getting a good workout at the same time. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. Limited space is available so plan to arrive early to secure your spot in the workshop.
Songwriting Contest applications
Applications are currently available on the UPC website (www.auburn.edu/upc) for the Songwriting Contest to be held on Thursday, March 11. Completed applications and demos are due by Monday, March 1. Prizes are available for the winners of the contest.
Join IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. From 7 a.m.–10 p.m. IHOP will give away one free short stack (three) of their famous buttermilk pancakes. All that they ask is that you consider making a donation to support local children's hospitals through Children's Miracle Network. The Auburn IHOP is located on 1463 Opelika Road.

2010 Final Lecturer - Dr. Donna Bohanan
The Final Lecture program was created to give students the opportunity to participate in a teaching award given on behalf of the student body, recognizing professors who have made extraordinary contributions to Auburn University through classroom teaching and service to the university. The Juniors and Seniors voted to have Dr. Donna Bohanan (Professor of History) to deliver the "Final Lecture keynote address" on April 8, 2010, in the Auburn University Student Center Ballroom.
Auburn Creed Scholarship Applications
The Auburn Creed Scholarships are awarded to Auburn University students who exemplify the qualities instilled in the Auburn University Creed. All parts of the Auburn Creed are equally considered. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Auburn University students who have a minimum grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale and will be attending Auburn in the Fall of 2010. The application is due on Friday, February 26, and interviews will be held on Monday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 2. The Committee will consider students by evaluating how each nominee best embodies the Auburn Creed. For more information, contact the Student Government Association at 844-4240.

"Aubie" Finishes Second in 2010 UCA Mascot National Championships
Auburn University's mascot, Aubie, competed in the 2010 UCA Mascot National Championships on Friday, January 15th in Orlando, FL. Aubie finished in second place in the nation in the closest race in the history of the contest (by .7 of a point)! The national ranking is judged on both the skit and the video submitted by each mascot. Aubie placed third in the video, and first in the skit..
The Jenzabar Foundation is now accepting nominations for our third annual Student Leadership Awards competition. The awards will honor ten student-led campus groups or activities that have made a significant impact serving others beyond their own higher education institutions. In case you are not familiar with our organization, The Jenzabar Foundation (http://thejenzabarfoundation.org/ICS/Join_Us/) seeks to foster a culture of service and to educate and inspire future generations to create a better world. The Foundation has funded more than 300 colleges and universities and student-led campus groups through its annual student leadership awards and other grant programs.
Nominations are open for students enrolled in any accredited institution of higher education and can be submitted by individuals, educational institutions, or non-profit organizations that have produced work consistent with the mission of The Jenzabar Foundation: to recognize and support the good works and humanitarian efforts of student leaders serving others across the global community. Jack Smith, Advisor to The Plainsmen, has resigned from his position to pursue other interests. His last day will be February 24. The Division will be working to hire an Advisor for the Plainsmen throughout the Spring semester.
