Freshman Leadership Programs (FLP) seek to instill the value of leadership in freshmen. By focusing on individual development, as well as team building, freshmen will walk away ready to lead on Auburn’s campus. Each week 45 freshmen will meet with their Director and Assistant Directors to work on leadership development and campus involvement. Each meeting is designed to help freshmen enhance their abilities, network with fellow leaders, and practice the skills they acquire in their own individual way. Leadership Small Groups provide an opportunity for freshman to learn from current student leaders and discuss important leadership topics in a fun and relaxed environment. Small groups of 10-15 first year students will be placed with a senior student leader who has experience serving in various roles and campus organizations. The Small Group Leaders will serve as a guide, mentor, and friend to their group throughout their first year at Auburn University. Groups meet twice monthly in a casual and relaxed environment. Each group will be filled on a first come first serve basis and students may select the group day and time that best fits their schedule. For more information, go to auburn.edu/leadership. The University Program Council (UPC) is a student-led programming board consisting of 11 committees that bring a variety of events to Auburn’s campus. These events are planned and executed by students for students. UPC consists of 11 committees and an executive board. There are six programming committees and five support committees. UPC Committee are groups of students who support each of the committees within UPC. Applications Available August 1.
Back to School Organizations Week will take place August 31- September 3 on the Haley Concourse. O-Week allows students to interact with over 200 organizations in one place! O-Week is a great time to ask organization leaders questions about how to become a member or learn about their events.
The Involvement Ambassadors are available to assist you in discovering what involvement opportunities best fit your personal interests. Consultations are available for walk-ups Monday-Thursday from 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM or Friday from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM or you may schedule an appointment by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
