Blues and Barbecue
Please join us for Blues and Barbecue, an event specifically for new Auburn students and their families. After a tough morning of Move-in Mania, take a break with other Auburn parents and families who are experiencing the same difficult transition from high school to college. Blues and Barbecue will be offered on both move-in dates, August 9 and August 13.

This first Blues and Barbecue event will be specifically tailored to those families who have a student going through Panhellenic Recruitment. The event will take place from 1 – 3 PM in the Auburn University Student Center Ballroom. All parents and students are invited to attend*.
During the event there will be representatives available from campus and local businesses. Whether you have a question about a parking pass or you want to purchase a bid day gift, there will be information available to answer your last-minute questions.
At 2 PM, there will be a brief presentation. Speakers will include Dr. Bobby Woodard, Vice President for Student Affairs; Lady Cox, Interim Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs; Jill Moore, Director of Greek Life; and Alexis Barranca, Panhellenic president.
Staff from the Office of Parent and Family Programs and Greek Life will also be available until 3 PM to answer any additional questions that you may have.
*A free barbecue meal will be provided to the first 150 guests.
Take a break from moving in your new student to join the Office of Parent and Family Programs, Welcome Week, and the Student Government Association for Blues and Barbecue The event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 4 to 6 PM. in the Auburn University Student Center Ballroom. All parents and students are invited to attend*.
From 4 to 5 PM browse our campus partner tables to have any last-minute questions answered before your student starts classes. Several campus representatives will be present to ensure you have everything you need before your student starts classes.
At 5 PM, make you way to the ballroom to enjoy a presentation from Dr. Bobby Woodard, vice president for student affairs; Lady Cox, interim assistant vice president of student affairs; and Student Government Association President, Logan Powell. Staff from the Office of Parent and Family Programs and the Division of Student Affairs will be available until 6 PM to answer any additional questions that you may have.
