Spirit

The SGA Spirit Team is busy all year long with activities to support all Auburn University athletic teams as well as other SGA projects and events. We are responsible for the shakers given out in the student section at football games Camp War Eagle and Fall Football pep rallies, parades, float competitions, block seating, the windows you see painted around town during football season, the paw prints along Tiger Walk, All Auburn, All Orange, and the Spirit Points Program.

PEP RALLIES

Football season has began and the SGA in cooperation with the City of Auburn has three exciting pep rallies planned. The first two will be held at Toomer’s Corner (intersection of College and Magnolia) and will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday nights. The "Beat Bama" pep rally will be held on the lawn in front of Cater Hall, due to expected traffic congestion with the game being held after Thanksgiving this year. We invite all Auburn students, alumni, friends, and community members to join us for a fun-filled evening of sharing the Auburn Spirit. Each pep rally will feature the award-winning AU Marching Band, the AU Cheerleaders, Aubie, and many more special guests. We’ll see you at the Corner!

    • Friday, August 31— Kansas State Pep Rally at 6 p.m.
    • Friday, November 9 — Homecoming Pep Rally (Tenn. Tech) at 6:00 p.m.
    • Friday, November 23 — "Beat Bama" Pep Rally at 6:00 p.m. (Cater Lawn)

SHAKERS

The Spirit Team needs volunteers to help us wrap shakers every Tuesday night prior to home games only. Join us in the SGA office at 7 p.m. to help us bundle shakers for the coming weekend’s home football game. It’s lots of fun, a great way to give back to AU, and doesn’t take a lot of time!

SPIRIT POINTS

The Spirit Points Program is one of the most exciting and important things that the Spirit Team facilitates. The program encourages members of on-campus organizations to get involved and give back to Auburn University and to the Auburn community. In an effort to do so, organizations receive points for their members’ attendance at specified events as well as for the active involvement on campus in activities such as IMPACT, War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen, and honor societies. Below you can find links to important documents that provide more details about the program. Please e-mail Zach Hall for more information or if your group would like to participate.

**Attention Participating Organizations: Remember that a Spirit Point Request form MUST be turned in to/e-mailed to Allison Taul at least three weeks prior to your event AND that you are responsible for completing the Spirit Points Tally sheet and returning it to her no more than two weeks after the completion of your event. Failure to do so will result in no points being awarded.**

BLOCK SEATING

Block Seating is the incentive portion of the Spirit Points Program. Throughout the year, organizations in this division of the program strive to meet a point quota set by the Director of Spirit. Those organizations who earn the specified amount of points are then eligible to select a block of rows in the block seating section of Jordan-Hare stadium for all home football games.
