The City of Auburn and Auburn University Safety Week
WaCaDa - Walk and Cycle and Drive alike
October 15-October 19
"During the week of October 15th through 19th, the City of Auburn and Auburn University are partnering to bring Auburn residents the first-ever Safety Week. WaCaDa is designed to remind Auburn residents that we all walk, cycle, and drive alike. A mutual respect for others on the road and safety rules will create a better and safer Auburn for everyone."
Volunteers will be on the Haley Concourse providing students and faculty with information concerning WaCaDa throughout the week. Brochures on transportation safety, violations, and fines will be handed out during safety week, as well as local coupons, reflective LED buttons, and candy.

We are responsible for representing the Student Government Association at the weekly meetings of the City of Auburn as ex-officio members. We represent the SGA to the Chamber of Commerce and other boards and committees throughout the Auburn Community. Also, we meet with Mayor Bill Hamm and City Manager Charlie Duggan, monthly, in keeping good relations between the student body and City of Auburn.
SGA Appreciation Breakfast
Friday, September 7, the Student Government Association had an appreciation breakfast for the men and women of the Auburn police and fire departments. The breakfast would not have been possible without the generous donation made by Chartwells, Auburn University's new food service provider. Chartwells kindly treated Auburn's public servants to ham and sausage biscuits, coffee, and juice. The men and women of the Auburn police and fire departments provide an invaluable service in keeping our school and community safe, and this breakfast was just a way for the SGA and student body to give these men and women the recognition they deserve.
