Mission of Schools Council
The mission of the SGA Schools Council is to serve as an intermediate organization between the individual school councils and the Student Government Association. The Council should consist of presidents and vice presidents duly elected or appointed to their positions, and their purpose should be to facilitate the activities of their own school council within their respective school or college. Furthermore, these individuals should ensure that all requirements are met as defined by the Student Government Association Code of Laws. The Schools Council should provide the individual councils the opportunity to inform the SGA about their initiatives, while developing new programs and projects that will further benefit the students. Ultimately, the Schools Council should strive to develop individual councils that work extensively with their own school or college to ensure that students have the opportunity to get involved, give back, and have their concerns addressed.
