The AU
Rhythm Dance
Troupe is Auburn University’s brand new
co-ed auditioned group of energetic, personable, and talented dancers.
The group’s primary function is to serve as a hip-hop performance
group at campus and community events.
Friends Iris
Hill and Jonathan
Martin founded the group in the fall
of 2004. Since Auburn University does not have a dance program, they
felt that AU Rhythm would give students a chance to dance and remain
involved on campus. AU Rhythm brings a unique element of entertainment to Auburn by
performing innovative, fast-paced dance routines to a wide variety
of hip-hop music. The troupe has appeared at such events as the Miss
Glom Pageant, The ISO Talent Showcase, Pep Rallies, and Midnight
Mayhem. They also regularly participate in community service programs
at local schools.
