The purpose and goals of this sorority shall be to assemble its members in the fellowship of Omega Phi Alpha, to develop friendship, leadership and cooperation by promoting service to the university-community, to the community-at-large, to the members of the sorority and to the nations of the world.

During the 2008 National Omega Phi Alpha Convention, Omicron Chapter was awarded:

The National Service Award for Service to the Community
The National Service Award for Service to the Nations of the World
The Overall National Service Award
Girl Scouts Award of Distinction

Omicron Chapter has completed well over 2,000 hours of community service during the 2008-2009 school year.
