General Information

The Auburn University Men's Soccer Club represents the University's highest level of competitive men's soccer. In the past two years the AU Men's Team has reached an unprecedented level of competitive play, and the team has proven this by bringing home four tournament championships, two of which are league championships.

Unbeaten at home in the past six years, the Auburn men's team has established itself as one of the Southeast's top teams to beat. The club is a member of the Southeastern Collegiate Soccer League (SCSL), which boasts over 20 competitive club teams from the South including Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Alabama, UGA, and Georgia Tech. SCSL league play usually begins in early September and concludes the season in November with a seeded regional tournament.

Outside of season play the Auburn Club regularly attends several different tournaments including Clemson's Socctoberfest, and Florida's Chris Lipp Invitational, and Clemson's Spring Shindig. During the 2003 season The Men's Club was able to claim championships at Florida's Invitational, and Clemson's Spring Shindig.

With a record breaking 17 - 0 - 0 record for the 2003 Fall season, the club swept the competition at the SCSL regional tournament by soundly defeating Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State capping off an entire year of undefeated soccer. With this championship win, the Auburn Men's Club Team was awarded a bid to the NIRSA National Championships held November 19th through the 22nd.

Auburn completed their 2003 season with the best record in the nation and a ranking of 5th in the nation.
