"Cheerleader Recipient of Foy Spirit Award"

Congratulations to 2008-2009 Head Cheerleader, Trent Weaver, for being selected as the 2008 Foy Spirit Award Scholarship Recipient.

Trent Weaver, 2008-2009 Auburn Head Cheerleader, was recently selected as one of two Auburn students to receive the 2008 Foy Spirit Award Scholarship. The Foy Spirit Award is a $1000 scholarship given each year in honor of former Dean of Students Dr. James E. Foy and his late wife, Mrs. Emmalu Foy. The award recognizes an Auburn student who "exhibits exceptional qualities of leadership, character, and a commitment to the Auburn community". Trent has just completed his second year as a member of the Auburn Cheerleaders and is a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering from Birmingham, AL.
