1998 Summer Quarter (47 class days)
Eight-Week Term (36 class days)

Apr. 11 - Aug. 16 - * Registration for Fall Quarter

May 27 - Last day for completing graduate admission applications (including transcripts and GRE or GMAT scores)

June 1 - Last day for completing undergraduate admission applications

June 16 - Orientation for new students

June 17 - Classes begin

June 22 - Last day for acceptance of approved drafts of doctoral dissertations. Last day to apply for foreign language examinations

July 1-14 - Submission of thesis rough drafts for format check.

July 3 - Independence Day Holiday

July 9 - Foreign language examinations.

July 22 - Mid-Quarter. Last day to drop courses. Future drops will be WF automatically. Last day for submission of approved theses to the Graduate School in final form and last day for filing Form 9 (report of thesis-option final oral examination).

Aug. 6 - Classes end for term

Aug. 7&10 - Final Examinations for Term

Aug. 10 - Last day for doctoral and non-thesis final oral examinations.

Aug. 14 - Last day for submission of final copies of dissertations to Graduate School.

Aug. 21 - Classes end for Quarter

Aug. 22 - Dead Day

Aug. 24-28 - Final Examinations for Quarter

Aug. 31 - Graduation. Last day for students to request graduation checks in the Graduate School for graduation for fall quarter (students must be registered no later than the fifth class day to graduate).

 

1998 Fall Quarter (48 class days)

Sept. 21 - Orientation for new students

Oct. 26 - Mid-Quarter. Last day to drop courses. Future drops will be WF automatically. Last day for submission of approved theses to Graduate School in final form and last day for filing Form 9 (report of thesis-option final oral examination).

Nov. 20 - Last day for doctoral and non-thesis final oral examinations

Nov. 23-29 - Thanksgiving Holidays

Nov. 30 - Last day for submission of final copies of dissertations to the Graduate School.
