Black Graduate and Professional Student Association Auburn University Chapter Constitution Article I: Purpose The Black Graduate and Professional Student Association, BGPSA, is an academic and professional organization of young, emerging scholars. The mission is to advance the scholarly activity of Black students and to improve the conditions of the social environment.
Section 1: Membership shall consist of active, associate, and honorary members. Section 2: Registered graduate students and currently employed faculty and staff will be admitted as active members. Section 3: Associate membership shall consist of individuals who have previously held active membership or who are Auburn University alumni and all others interested in furthering the purpose of the organization. Section 4: Honorary membership shall include individuals recognized as having provided outstanding contributions to their fields. Section 5: Only active members may vote, hold office, preside, officiate, or solicit funds on behalf of this organization. |
