Printable Version Boat, Motors, Equipment, and Safety All boats and motors must be equipped with an IGNITION KILL/SHUT OFF switch and must be attached to the driver when the motor is running (idle, no wake, or running). When the boat is running (no wake, or on plane) the driver and passenger must be seated with life vests zipped.

A speed limit of 50 mph should be recognize during the Tackle, Fishing Equipment, Tournament Procedures Only one rod per angler may be in the water at any given time. There will be no trolling of any kind, including the technique of dragging a lure behind the boat by use of the trolling motor. Artificial bait only will be allowed, no live or prepared live bait will be allowed. Once the tournament begins you must remain in your boat at all times, all fish must be landed and netted from inside the boat. The only time an angler will be allowed to leave the boat is in an emergency situation (should be called into the tournament headquarters, outside of a RR break).
If you have boat problems on the water you must
notify the tournament referee (TF) before making a decision on how to get
the boat back to the weigh in site. Anglers will have to return to the weigh
in site by their own boat or in another boat that is participating in the
event. State of Alabama Marine regulations are to be followed at all times. Each angler should read and familiarize themselves with these regulations. Additional rules are as follows:

alcoholic beverages will be used or allowed in the boat during the

The official checkpoint will be designated by the
tournament referee in the pre tournament meeting the night prior to the
start of the tournament. All boats must be at the checkpoint at the
predetermined time by flights given out during the pre tournament meeting.
Failure to be in at the official time will result in a 1.00lb/per minute
penalty and after 15 minutes it will result in the disqualification of that
day’s catch. Each lake will have off limit areas designated by buoys or signs, additional off limit areas are: · Inside all marina areas. · Tournament launch area (inside the idle only buoys).

be off limits during the weekdays, the official practice day will be
Thursday prior the start of each event.
Failure to abide by any of the rules listed or by the
modified rules will result in disqualification of the team or individual
unless otherwise noted. Make sure you have a current Alabama fishing
license, failure to have a current license will result in disqualification. See State of Alabama DNR size limit for each lake and each species of fish, the following fish will be weighed; Spotted bass, Largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass. Only 5 bass in procession at any one time.
A short fish will cost the weight of the short fish plus
the weight of the largest fish. A dead fish will be penalized .50lbs per
dead fish.
Cell phones may be used during the tournament to communicate with your team members. The only other use of cell phones will be to call the tournament director.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: 334 559 0343. In the event that there are any disputes concerning the tournament will be resolved by the TD (tournament director). All disputes Must be verbally submitted within 30 minutes of the final team weigh in. Discrepancy in posted scoring will be adjusted as needed and will not hold to a time limit. |
