Evan Lynch is currently in his second year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands. Prior to attending Auburn, he served as a clinician, adjudicator, music arranger, and private teacher for various high school and middle school bands throughout the state of Arizona.
Mr. Lynch graduated cum laude from Arizona State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance. While at ASU, he participated in the wind ensemble (principal player in 2007), wind symphony, sinfonietta orchestra (principal player in 2007), symphony orchestra (principal player in 2009), lyric opera theatre, clarinet choir (principal player in 2007), marching band (euphonium soloist in 2008), and pep band. Solo competitions won include the Western District Music Competition hosted by Kappa Kappa Psi in 2006 and 2007, the ASU undergraduate clarinet studio solo competition in 2007, and the DCI I & E clarinet solo competition in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Mr. Lynch’s professional affiliations include the International Clarinet Association and the national honorary band fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi.
