Aaron Toft is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands. From 2008 – 2012, Mr. Toft was the Director of Bands at Manchester High School and Manchester Middle School in Manchester, GA. While at Manchester, the high school band doubled in size and actively performed in both the community and throughout the state of Georgia.
Before teaching in Manchester, Mr. Toft established a private studio in Cobb County, GA and assisted concert bands at McEachern High School, Wheeler High School and Tapp Middle School in preparation for LGPE performances. Mr. Toft also assisted the McEachern Wind Ensemble in preparation for performances at UGA JanFest and the GMEA In-service Conference in Savannah, GA.
Mr. Toft holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from the University of Kentucky. While at UK, he was a Senior Assistant for the Wildcat Marching Band and also participated in the Symphony Band, Wildcat Marching Band, UK Basketball Pep Band and Tuba Euphonium Ensemble. Mr. Toft studied tuba with Dr. Skip Gray and conducting with Mr. George Boulden.
Mr. Toft’s professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, the Georgia Music Educators association and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
