About the Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is the premiere performing ensemble in the Auburn University Band Program. Conducted by the Director of Bands, membership is by audition and is open to any Auburn student. Scholarship money is also available for some students who are selected for the band. The band rehearses three hours per week during fall semester and five hours per week during spring semester.

Symphonic Band auditions are held during the spring and summer for the following year. Additional auditions for the Symphonic Band are held near the end of fall semester for the spring season, as openings occur. Woodwind and brass auditions consist of three parts.
Percussion auditions also consist of these three parts.
Audition sign ups are being done through Teloga.com. You can access the audition sign up page directly using this link.
NOTE: You must register for Teloga and connect to the AU Symphonic Band before you can choose an audition time.
One hour credit is available for participation in any of our concert groups. This credit may be used as an elective in any curriculum.
Members of the Symphonic Band supply their own formal attire for concerts. There is no other cost except tuition. Band members do NO fund raising.
