When is the next meeting?
On
Monday, March 3rd, the Auburn Mathematics Education Society
will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Haley 2423. Refreshments will
be served.
The next meeting will be held Monday, April 7th at 6:30 p.m. in Haley 2423.
What are some recent meetings held by
A.M.E.S.
One
recent event held by the Auburn Mathematics Education Society was
the workshop: Inclusion in the Mathematics Classroom.
The guest speakers were Mrs. Zoë Williams and Mrs. Dent.

What are some upcoming events for A.M.E.S.
for next year?
In
the upcoming year, the Auburn Mathematics Education Society plans
to:

Provide Professional Development Workshops for members of the
Auburn Mathematics Education Society including but not limiting
to technology, diversity, and inclusion in the mathematics
classroom.

Invite Guest Speakers such as current teachers, new teachers,
interns, and superintendents to speak on a panel at A.M.E.S.
-
Attend a conference held annually each Spring by the E.A.C.T.M.
-
Hold monthly meeting as well as social meetings to foster Auburn
Student Interaction.

Plan group trips to professional conferences (i.e. A.C.T.M.,
E.A.C.T.M., N.C.T.M., and T.E.A.M. Math conferences)
-
Alert members of A.M.E.S. of important information such as
scholarships (i.e. the A.C.T.M. scholarship) and other useful
information relating to the College of Education and Mathematics
education.

Grow as an organization as we seek to become an affiliate of
A.C.T.M., E.A.C.T.M, and N.C.T.M.
-
Raise funds so that we can develop T-shirts, develop an A.M.E.S.
logo, and be pictured as an organization in the Glomerata.
