| In the Photograph is Rachel Howell, one of our officers and student residents (aka "church mice"). Rachel is a senior in Social Work from Decatur and a young woman of many talents. She coordinated the recent "Hunger Banquet" to raise money for the local food bank, and served as Tazewell's apprentice the weekend of the installation of our Artist-in-Residence. Rachel is representative of the 200 students who attend worship here: She is a person of genuine character, quality, determination, and integrity -- like so many of her generation.

who will be installed as St. Dunstan's Artist-in-Residence next
Sunday evening in a Festival Holy Eucharist at 6:00 pm. Tazewell
is a graduate of Auburn and former art professor who has returned
to the Loveliest Village. His original works include watercolor
paintings, pen-and-ink drawings, creches, Christmas ornaments, and
much more.

became a monk, and was named abbot in the tenth century AD. Leigh and Wells
visited there in the summer

Players on Last Epiphany 2004. "St. George & the Dragon" was an original
chancel production by Dr. Craig Bertolet, starring Clay Campbell as Sir
George, Allison Ivey as Princess Rowena, Margaret Warren as Princess
Elizabeth, Adam Ray as the trusty servant Jack, Byron Davison as the
Archbishop of Canterbury, Craig Bertolet as Narrator and King of Northumbria,
and Leigh Warren as the Queen of England. Alan Akin had a wonderful off-stage
part doing the Dragon and other sound effects!

is a doctoral student in religion at Emory University and is a seminary graduate. Dr. Wilson is a professor of
Agricultural Economic and Rural Sociology at Auburn University--and one of our wonderful faculty advisors. Their
program on "Building Community" was terrific! Join us at St. D's for the Year of Community.

We are celebrating the Year of Community
for 2003-2004. When we enter into
communion with Christ, we form ourselves
into a community, which is the Church, a
sharing in Christ and in the lives of one
another.

In the Photo Dr. Michael G. Rich, one of our faculty advisors for
the past three years at St. Dunstan's, begins seminary this year at
The General Theological Seminary in New York. Michael was an
associate professor of Journalism at Auburn University when he began
the process leading to ordination as an Episcopal priest. Seminary
is three years long, but we hope to see Michael a couple of times
each year when he returns to Alabama. You can reach Michael at Box

in the chapel at St. Dunstan's? They are plain and unadorned,
but the light and shadows through them changes their appearance
during the day and early evening. Remember that this is a place
of peace and of quietness, a place to pray for peace and the
